Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. Laura Halpenny

Laura is responsible for all marketing efforts, client relations, and operations. Her experience as Senior Director of a Fortune 500 telecommunications company, where she managed sales and operations, means she knows how to multi-task and get things done. During her 25 years in telecom she received numerous recognitions including “Operation Employee of the Year.”
Laura resides in St. Charles, IL with her husband, three children, and two Labrador retrievers.

Fun Fact: Laura started her career as a legal secretary. Her first boss encouraged her to use her energetic personality and leave the desk behind – advice she appreciates every day.

Justin Halpenny

Justin is an Investment Advisor Representative with more than 24 years of experience who has dedicated his career to income planning and private wealth management. As a retirement and investment planning specialist he takes great pride in helping clients pursue their dream.
He started New Horizon Wealth Strategies in 2003 realizing he could better serve his investors by offering a variety of financial strategies without the constraints and limited product offering of a single firm. Today, Justin is a popular keynote speaker at local financial events where he shares his knowledge and teaches people how to take control of their financial future.
Justin received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He resides in St. Charles, IL with his wife Laura and three children.
Hometown: Elmhurst, IL
Fun Fact: Justin was an All-American second basemen in college, and a member of the NCAA Student Athletic Advisory Committee. He also loves fishing, and enjoys his cabin in northern Wisconsin with his wife and children.
